Who are you working for?

Listening to the radio today, the speaker quoted Colossians 3:23-24. His context was that he is a writer and gets to work in his pajamas. However, he was not too keen on some of the deadlines his boss imposes on him. The point: even your dream job would have something you do not like.

This hit home for me. I took it as a timely reminder from God of what I need to do as I place my trust in Him.

Remember that God put us in our current job for a purpose and perhaps, we were placed at our job for a time like this.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
