Who or what are your eyes fixed on?

In the world today, a very visual and social media dominated world, it is at times very challenging to focus on things that require our attention and to stop spending time on things that does not need our attention. The Apostle Paul spoke about this (see Romans 7:15)

Some of these things can cause us to worry, for example, one day the gas price is up and we worry if it will go up even higher.

Let me encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus. No amount of worrying can change anything. However, prayer can. By focusing and fixing our eyes on Jesus, it is the best use of our time.

No matter what your challenge is today, fix your eyes on Jesus.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. – Hebrews 12:2 (NLT)

I heard this song the other day and it stuck with me. Look it up, it may encourage you too.

Song – Strangely Dim by Francesca Battistelli

But when I fix my eyeson all that You are
Then every doubt I feel
Deep in my heart
Grows strangely dim
All my worries fade
And fall to the ground
'Cause when I seek Your face
And don't look around
Any place I'm in
Grows strangely dim
