What to Expect
At Woodvale Church, our Sunday services are designed for the whole family. You’ll experience worship, a Bible-based message, and a welcoming community. Services are approximately 90 minutes, and from the moment you arrive, our hope is that you feel comfortable, welcomed, and at right at home.
Bringing children 10 & under?
We love welcoming families at Woodvale Church. Each Sunday, we offer age-appropriate kids ministries for children in grade 5 and under, providing a safe, engaging, and caring environment where kids can learn about God in a way that’s meaningful for them. Our team is ready to help your family feel comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Parking at Woodvale.
We’re grateful to be part of this neighbourhood and ask everyone attending Woodvale Church to please park responsibly and respectfully.
ON-SITE PARKING
We have three parking lots available on-site, totalling 500 parking spaces. The North Lot, East Lot and South Lot are all available on Sunday mornings. Please note that the South Lot is reserved for individuals with mobility challenges or accessibility requirements.
OVERFLOW PARKING
We have two overflow parking lots available off-site on Sunday mornings.
Greenbank Hunt Club Centre: Parking available beside the Subway restaurant.
Knoxdale Public School: Parking available in the main lot.
If you would like to avoid the congestion of the church’s parking lots, please consider parking at one of these two overflow locations or consider carpooling. Please see map for parking details.
CONSIDER CARPOOLING
Carpooling is a practical way to support our growing church and be good neighbours to our community. Sharing a ride helps ease parking congestion and makes Sunday mornings smoother for everyone.
You can also explore carpooling options through Ottawa Ride Match.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION
Please abide by ALL City of Ottawa parking By-Laws. Please be considerate of our neighbours. When you park inconsiderately, you give the church a bad name in the community.
Be aware of the City of Ottawa parking restrictions due to winter weather. Visit ottawa.ca/parking to review these. The City of Ottawa has jurisdiction on private property for parking violations, including Fire Lanes and parking in an accessible space without displaying a permit. Woodvale Church does not issue parking tickets; the City of Ottawa does. Woodvale does not call Bylaw: unhappy neighbours do.
Our Woodvale Safety Team do their best to inform you of when you have parked incorrectly and provide you with information informing you of where you can safely park by leaving a notice with Woodvale’s logo on your windshield. Unfortunately, they have to spend time each service, every Sunday, doing this. We do not leave unkind notices on your vehicle. Our notices do not prevent a City of Ottawa Bylaw Officer from ticketing your vehicle.
